TRAVELING TO CONEY ISLAND
By Subway: D, F, N or Q train to Stillwell Ave. MTA Website

Allow at least 1 to 1.5 hours by subway from Manhattan and please check the MTA Website before heading to Coney Island for any scheduled weekend service changes.

We STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you leave yourself ample time because subway service on weekends can be very erratic.

By Car:Take the Belt Parkway to exit 6. Head south on Cropsey Avenue to West 17th Street. Keyspan Park and the Parachute Jump will be in front of you on Surf Avenue. Metered and some free parking is available along most streets. There are commercial parking lots on West 17th Street at Maimonides Park and West 12th Street between Mermaid and Surf, West 15th Street between the Boardwalk and Surf and on Neptune Avenue between West 12th and Stillwell Avenue. Metered parking is available on Surf Ave. Stillwell Ave. 10th and 15th streets on Fridays and Saturdays. The meters run until 7pm. Sundays you do not have to feed the meters (they are free).

Getting to Coney Island

All screenings are held inside Coney Island USA 1208 Surf Ave. Brooklyn, NY, Coney Island! Tickets can be purchased online or at The Coney Island USA Gift Shop/Box Office 1208 Surf Ave, Ground Floor, during the festival dates. We strongly recommend advance purchase as many programs sell out prior to the festival dates. There are no service fees added to online sales.

The mission of the Coney Island Film Festival is to bring people together to celebrate the power of independent film through cinema and the Coney Island experience, and to provide the South Brooklyn neighborhood of Coney Island, with an educational and cultural experience, that enriches the lives of its citizens and contributes to the local economy. We foster a place of connection for filmmakers to meet, share ideas and develop professional relationships.

All proceeds from the festival, raise funds for the non-profit arts organization Coney Island USA.

The Coney Island Film Festival screens a truly eclectic range of films from the U.S. and all over the world and much to the delight of our audience features a number of "made in Coney Island" productions each year. In 2024 the Coney Island Film Festival is celebrating its 24th anniversary.

The Festival has been named "One of MovieMaker Magazine's Coolest Film Festivals in the World" and "25 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee".

2024 Festival Dates are May 3rd through 5th.
